Do you want us to send you an email link when we publish a new post?

 

When we decided to write a travel blog, Mark researched the different platforms available and chose the one we have used for the last seven and a half years. It provided the option for automatically sending email alerts to readers that wanted to know when a new blog post had been published. About a year ago, the company let us know that they were going to discontinue that service. So we did a blog that let readers know that if they wanted to continue to get email alerts, they could send us their email address, and we would do the alerts ourselves. We appreciate the fact that some of you did that, and we still have that list. (Note: Denisa takes way too many flower pictures, so she's using up some while we're talking about non-floral subjects.)

But the blog company continued to send emails, so we didn't implement our home-made system. Fast forward a year, and we just found out that they finally did quit doing the automatic emails. Thank you to several people that let us know! So as of yesterday, we are sending out the email ourselves to those that have provided us with an email address. Instead of sending the actual blog post in the email, it provides a direct link that you must click to take you to the newest post. That also allows you to scroll down to older posts that you might have missed during the "no email" hiatus. 

Mark also put a new link on our blog page that allows readers to automatically be included in this email list. But you can only see this link if you are viewing our blog on a computer--it doesn't show up on a cell phone screen. The link is in the upper right side of the screen of our blog, above the little picture of the two of us. If you click on the words "Click Here To Receive An Email When New Blogs Are Posted,"  it will open up an email that already has our email address and information in it. You just need to press "send" on that email, and we will add your address to our list.

If you are using a cell phone to view the blog (or if the instructions in that last paragraph are too confusing), you can just email us at den.engelman@gmail.com. You can let us know to add your email address to our list by that method too. 

If you don't want the emails, or if they get lost in your email spam folder, you can always access our blog any time by typing whisw.blogspot.com into your search engine. Our blog also comes up when you google "Wandering His Wonders." We are trying to publish a blog every other day. At that rate, you will see that we are really behind in getting our adventures published, because we are blessed to get to do something fun almost every day. But that will give us something to write about when we get back to "family mode" later this year.
