Because our flight to South Korea got moved up by a week, we had less time in Oklahoma than we first planned. So it was a busy five days! Our first priority was spending time with family that we hadn't seen for a while. In those five days we got to spend time with our parents, and seven of our siblings and their spouses. We also saw nine nieces and nephews, and ten great nieces and nephews. We were blessed! We got up at 5 a.m. to make the drive to Weatherford in order to see our church family. We went to Sunday school and church, to worship with our special friends we hadn't seen since last January.
Another priority for these five days was to get the motor home ready to sit idle for the next month or more. Mark winterized it (something we thought we wouldn't do ever again). We also assembled an arsenal of items to try to dissuade the field mice from moving into the motor home when the temperatures cool. We won't know what was effective (or ineffective) since we tried so many things. We used peppermint oil, irish spring soap, bounce dryer sheets, and a product called "fresh cab" inside the motor home. Mark's Mother purchased a product made from coyote urine, promised to scare off mice, and we sprinkled it around the outside. She also volunteered to check sticky traps on a regular basis while we were gone too.
Denisa's Mother scheduled an appointment for her to get a much-needed haircut before we hit the road again. We also had to find time to pack for the month we will be in Asia. It takes much more time to pack lightly, fitting it all into a carry-on-size bag each. No pictures today, but we wanted to chronicle our preparations and thank all those friends and relatives that made the time to spend precious moments with us. We are blessed!
