Fall Family Festivall--South Korea Style

Staying with Brian, Alexia, and their family in South Korea has afforded us the luxury of adjusting to the 14-hour time difference comfortably.  Being retired means we don't have to rush around to quickly see sites just because we are using precious annual leave days.  So we spent the first day at home, learning about the children's school schedules and trying to stay out of the way for busy preparations for the Fall Family Festival coming up.

Alexia is president of the school's PTA, and in charge of the fall festival.  So she has been really busy!  But we did get a picture of her and Camden at the beginning of the festival.

We had beautiful weather for the festival, and it was very well attended!  There were lots of games to play, and Brian and Camden were certainly having fun at the basketball shoot.

The bouncy toy seemed to be the best photo opportunity, as evidenced by all the pictures we took there.

Katrina posed on the bouncy toy while Camden headed down the slide.

Because the festival was put together by families from different countries, there were games from different cultures.   There was a game of Tombola that families from the UK and Russia played back home.  There was also a game called Tuho, that has South Korean roots.  Since Brian and Alexia were working and manning booths, Mark and Denisa got to help the children spend their tickets.  We were especially fans of the cake walk, where yummy desserts could be won. We also had plenty of opportunities to take pictures.

It was a fun day, but everyone was tired by the end of the festival.  Add a couple hours for clean-up, and Brian and Alexia were exhausted!  Add the effects of jet lag for Mark and Denisa, and we were all ready for bed early.
